I have received the offer in August 2020 for the position of Associate Professional at DXC, Bangalore, India. So I’ll be sharing my experience and explaining the path.

As the placement was during the Lockdown due to Corona So all the procedures and rounds were online.

Round 1

This was a coding round which was organized at the platform of Amcat globals. This platform is famous for providing students with certifications to help them approach companies for placements.

The test was 100 mins, it consists of different sections of Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Verbal, and at last Coding.

Each section has a different time limit. The questions overall in the paper were quite easy so the basic practice of the concepts would have done the trick.

The questions in the verbal and Aptitude sections were easily common like any other placement paper. So I’ll discuss the coding questions.

There were a total of 7 questions in the section, about 4 of them were very simple, we just had to remove some logical errors from the code.

While the other 3 were not that difficult either. In that, we just had to write a function to implement the said in the question.

Round 2

The second round was an Interview round. This round consisted of both behavioral and technical questions. The interviewer was very calm and good. He tried to maintain a friendly environment and kept the interview as a healthy introduction and discussion.

The behavioral questions were:

“Tell me something about yourself”

“tell me about the projects you have done”

Most of the questions were related to my CV.

He gave me questions related to DBMS. While answering his question there was a moment when I forgot the solution so helped me instead to keep the discussion going on.

There was one technical question to code in python as I have mentioned that language in my CV.

“ The question was to read a text file and display it”.

So the Interview went great and in a couple of days I got my result and a week after that I got my letter of intent confirming the selection.

Some people might not like DXC that much because of its history of firing about half of its staff since the merger. So I have contacted some of its employees to confirm that DXC has not fired anyone in 2020. In 2020, where many companies are shutting down and firing everyone DXC has maintained stability. So, I must say that DXC is only going to be more stable from now on.
